Pharmaceutics Lab-II

Description:Pharmaceutics Lab-II have Laminar air flow, different stirrers, homogeniser, analytical and other weighing balance, Autoclove,Filters, Distillation unit etc. these equipments are utilised in formulation of different dosage forms. In this lab different operations are undergoes like Weighing, Sifting, Blending, Granulation, Evaluation. Sterilization, IPQC etc. In the pharmaceutics lab –II Third year Vth & VIth semester and Final year VIIth &VIIIth semester students performs practical. Third year semester Vth student having industrial pharmacy-I subject. In Industrial Pharmacy-I they performs Formulation & Evaluation of Solid Oral Dosage forms. They formulate different tablets like effervescent tablet, chewable tablet, Mouth dissolving tablets, tablet prepared by wet granulation, tablet prepared by dry granulation and filling of hard gelatine capsules. Third year semester VIth student having industrial pharmacy-II subject. In industrial pharmacy-II they performs formulation and evaluation of Suspension, emulsion & semisolid dosage forms. They formulate Suspension like Paracetamol, milk of magnesia, calamine lotion and Antacid suspension. In emulsion they formulate turpentine liniment, liquid paraffin & castor oil emulsion and in semisolid they formulate pain balm, antifungal ointment, medicated jelly and non staining iodine ointment. In VIIth semester student having sterile product subject in which they formulate different sterile products like Sodium chloride injection, Ophthalmic product like sulphacetamide eye drop and evaluation of packaging material used for sterile product. In VIIIth semester student having Advanced drug delivery system subject in which they formulate and evaluate sustain release and control release tablet, Microencapsules etc.

Features:In this Laboratory we can develop Different pharmaceutical dosage forms with evaluation.
