Co-Curricular Activities

Co-curricular refers to activities, programs, and learning experiences that are connected to the academic curriculum. Co-curricular activities that enable to supplement and complement the curricular or main syllabi activities. We at JSPM’s, Jayawantrao Sawant College of Pharmacy & Research, Hadapsar organizing the various co-curricular activities for the students as these are the very important part and parcel of educational institutions to develop the students' personality as well as to strengthen the classroom learning. Co curricular activities include seminars, workshops, industrial visits etc. to build the confidence of students

Purpose

Co-curricular activities are those which are undertaken side by side with the curricular activities. A co-curricular activity essentially takes place outside a TYPICAL pen and pencil classroom experiences. It gives the students an opportunity to develop particular skills and exhibit their technical abilities through paper presentation competition, project competitions, coding, mini-projects etc. These activities give the students a platform to showcase their innovative ideas.

Objective

1. To Build paths for students to develop their interest and talents within their scope of studies.
2. To develop technical skills

Benifits of Co-curricular Activities

1. Allowing students to explore strengths and talents outside of academics (such as music, leadership, athletics, writing, and debate).
2. Helping students develop stronger time-management and organizational skills.
3. Teaching the importance of following through on commitments.
4. Giving students the opportunity to build friendships and participate in group activities outside of the tight circle of the regular classroom.
5. Helping to build confidence and self-esteem.
6. Providing a way to keep students supervised even outside of school hours and channeling their energies in positive directions (rather than toward drug abuse, crime, etc).
7. Building skills that are not necessarily taught in the classroom but are still important for the future.
8. Looking good on a school transcript or college application.

GPAT 2020

4th Graduation Day, 23rd February, 2019

Jayawant Shikshan Prasarak Mandal’s Jayawantrao Sawant College of Pharmacy & Research celebrated its 4th Graduation day on Saturday, the 23rd February, 2019 in its college. The celebrations started with the academic procession in which the dignitaries namely, Dr. R. Y. Patil. Principal, PDEA's Seth Govind Raghunath Sable College of Pharmacy Saswad, Pune. Dr. S. D. Ambavade, Principal, JSCOPR, Dr. K. L. Mundhe, Principal, JSCOEd. The Heads of various departments were ushered to the accompaniment of the college band into the venue of the function. The dignitaries adorned the dais and after the customary invocation song and lighting the lamp, the Principal welcomed all the dignitaries, invitees, parents, faculty and graduands. Dr. R. Y. Patil felicitated the guests with bouquet, garland and memento and was introduced to the gathering.
Dr. R. Y. Patil declared the graduation day open and in his presidential address he congratulated the graduands. The education system should not be based on the marks scored by the student it should be the Innovation and Employment as well as Entrepreneurship oriented.
Dr. S. D. Ambavade, in his address he pointed out that Learning is a Continuous Process by the hard work and Dedication by teachers in shaping the graduands as a responsible citizens of the country.
In this ceremony, Dr. R. Y. Patil distributed degrees to 54students who had passed out B. Pharm. degrees in 2018.
The Dr. R. Y. Patil then declared the graduation day closed. Dr. K. L. Mundhe, Principal, JSCOEd delivered the vote of thanks and the function ended with the national anthem.






Toppers University Examinations 2018-19

5th Graduation Day, 09th February, 2020

Jayawant Shikshan Prasarak Mandal’s Jayawantrao Sawant College of Pharmacy & Research celebrated its 5th Graduation day on Sunday 09th February, 2020 in its college. The celebrations started with the academic procession in which the dignitaries namely, Dr R. B. Ghooi, Senior Consultant in Clinical Research & Ethics. Dr V. V. Potnis, Principal, JSCOPR, Dr K. L. Mundhe, Principal, JSCOEd. The Heads of various departments were ushered to the accompaniment of the college band into the venue of the function. The dignitaries adorned the dais and after the customary invocation song and lighting the lamp, the Principal welcomed all the dignitaries, invitees, parents, faculty and grounds. Dr R. B. Ghooi felicitated the guests with the bouquet, garland and memento and was introduced to the gathering. Dr R. B. Ghooi declared the graduation day open and in his presidential address he congratulated the graduates, “For achievement of life goal graduates must be focused on continuous improvement of communication and writing skill”. During this ceremony, Dr R. B. Ghooi distributed degrees to 44students who had passed out B. Pharm. Degrees in 2019. The Dr. R. Y. Patil then declared the graduation day closed. Dr. K. L. Month, Principal, JSCOEd delivered the vote of thanks and the function ended with the national anthem.
